Dog races (dog breed) are groups of closely related dogs and have the same appearance. All from a single species, Canis lupus familiaris ie. The characteristics of each race selected and maintained by humans, and the seedlings grown from an unknown base. Purebred dogs are called dogs when both parent dogs and meet the standards of a race of dogs. The term is also used to breed a natural race or local races gradually arose in reaction to specific environments that involve humans, with little or no selective breeding involving humans. Local races are not documented, and recognized based on appearance and often of how adaptation to the environment. Ancient race of dogs is a natural part of the race which continues to descendants in modern times (and documented).
One dog breeds are represented by a group of individuals in sufficient numbers, in order to be stabilized to reduce specific traits from generation to generation. Dogs of the same racial characteristics and behavior looks the same, especially since they come from a particular set of ancestors who have the same characteristics. Dogs of the same race a real breed to produce offspring (breed true). The puppy is born it looks almost the same as the second parent. A dog can be said as a member of a race through the evidence descent, using genetic analysis or written records of the lineage. Identification of a race of dogs is not reliable in the absence of such evidence. Written document called a book about the lineage of seed registration (stud book) which is managed by individuals, clubs, or organizations.
In biology, subspecies, culture, and race (human, animal and plant) is an equivalent term. Races of animals and plants does meet the criteria for the subspecies. However, the use of the term race is not like the dog breeds standards of scientific classification (taxonomy). Recognition of the dog races are not conducted by scientific organizations, but by the number of independent breeders clubs that do not have to follow the scientific standards and often inconsistent. A number of breeders club for example, Belgian Shepherd Dog classifies into four separate races (Groenendael, Laekenois, Tervuren, and Malinois), but other breeders club does not recognize the fourth race.
