Basset Dog Breed Saint Hubert Hound

Basset dog breed is one of the most easily recognizable in the world because his legs are short and the expression of his face looked sad. These dogs came from France and is a derivative of Saint Hubert Hound race. The development of these dogs are also influenced by the English people who perform artificial insemination to cross to get a Basset Hound dog breeds are bigger, healthier, and consists of three colors. Basset Hound is known as one of the most photogenic dog in the world and has been used in several TV production. These dogs use a keen sense of smell to hunt other animals, like rabbits. Basset Hound has an independent personality, sensitive, loyal, good with small children, rigid, and sometimes stubborn. Naturally, the dog's body odor and it produces more oil than other dogs so it needs to do maintenance and cleaning so that the dog does not cause odor and hair loss. Basset Hound susceptible to skin disease because of her many times and damp. Bassed hound dog is known as an obedient dog especially while walking. They also have good behavior and temperament and is perfect along with the children. They train very hard, they lack in intelligence they more than dedication to the job!
The Basset Hound is a type of short-legged dog from the family dog. They are scent dogs, bred to hunt rabbits by scent. Their sense of smell for tracking is second only to that of the Bloodhound. The name Basset comes from French word bas, meaning "low", these dogs will end with attenuation of about 1-foot in height at the withers. They usually weigh between 35 - 70 pounds. They have smooth, short-haired coats but a rough haired dog possible. Though every color of the dog is considered acceptable by breed standards, Bassets are generally tricolor (black, brown, and white), open red and white (red spots on white fur), closed red and white (solid red color with white feet and tails), Honey And White (honey colored back, brown spotty nose and legs, light brown tails with white tip) and lemon and white. Some Bassets are also classified as gray or blue, but this color is considered rare and undesirable. They have long, downward ears and powerful necks, with much loose skin around their heads that forms wrinkles. Their tails are long and tapering and stand upright with a curve. Some prefer that the tail be tipped white. This is so they are easily seen when hunting / tracking through large bushes or weeds. This breed is also known for its hanging skin structure, which causes the face to occasionally look sad, this, for many people, adds to the charm of the breed. Dewlap, looks like leather, loose elastic around the neck, and the trailing ears, help trap the scent of what they are tracking. Basset Hound is a large dog with short legs. They were originally bred to have osteochondrodysplasia, known as dwarfism. Their short stature can be deceiving: Bassets are surprisingly long and can reach things on the surface of the table that the dog can not be a similar height. However, because Bassets are heavy and have short legs like that, they were unable to hold back on the water for a long time, and never should be made to swim. Basset Hound breed is seen as very friendly. For this reason they are an excellent Pets for kids. Many Bassets "forget" the training when the prize is not present. Bassets should be on a leash when out walking.
